Location

The Sporting / Puma Academy - The Football of Centre Sporting Clube de Portugal - is situated in the council of Alcochete, located on the outskirts of Lisbon on the southern bank of the river Tejo. It is approximately 30 minutes from the airport and located on the other side of the Vasco da Gama Bridge. This location was chosen as it has around 250 thousand square metres of space available in an excellent location that is easily accessible from the stadium and headquarters of Sporting.

Moreover, the area is very pleasant and tranquil: surrounded by an area of protected landscape with a fantastic quality of environment and air due to its isolation away from large urban areas.

Built in the middle of a cork forest, which also contributes to the quality of the environment and level of privacy, the Sporting / Puma Academy was also built with an artificial lake that adds to the natural beauty and quality of the area.

The Sporting / Puma Academy benefits greatly from the recognised qualities of the Portuguese climate: basking in the Sun for most of the year and with winter temperatures that are mild and recommended for the practice of outdoor sports which, in the case of the council of Alcochete, is reinforced by the stabilising effect of the river Tejo.
