Chapter II - Symbols of the Club

Article 7

The traditional symbols of the Club are the colours green and white and the lion, signifying strength, skill and loyalty, which should be present in all of its actions.

Article 8

The banner of the Club is a cloth made of green silk, of rectangular form, which has at its centre a lion semi-rounded by the letters SCP, all embroidered with silver.

Article 9

1- The flag of the club is an identical model of the banner, with the most profound areas in cloth of the colour green and applications, in cloth of the colour white, of the symbol and of the initials mentioned in the anterior article (article 8).
2- For the different sections, guidelines of profoundly green emblazoned with respective symbols may be adopted.

Article 10

The kit to wear for athletes to adopt, in principle, is to be comprised of the traditional colours of the Club.

Article 11

The distinctive piece of kit is of green cloth, cut in oval, bordered with white or black, depending on the impositions of the kit adopted, emblazoned with the symbolic lion and initials in white; to be displayed on the left side of the chest on all of the kits that permit. Those that require alteration of the placement of the crest may do so according with special configuration, always according to traditional options.

Article 12

The emblem of the club has the form of a shield, of a green field, with a lion centred with initials in a crown.

The sporting societies promoted by the Club are to adopt the denomination SPORTING CLUB DE PORTUGAL, plus the specification that, in legal terms, specifies the society and its objective; and must also adopt the banner, flag, distinctive kit mentioned in the preceding articles, without prejudice to the specifications that fit to the identity of the society and its objective.
