Chapter VI - Affiliates, Delegations, Supporters Clubs and Organisations

Section I - General provisions

Article 64

1- The above are/are to be integrated into the leonina family as follows:
   a) Affiliates of the Club, it being understood by whatever sporting club in question, legally constituted, that the word “SPORTING” is to be included in their name with integration into the leonina family already occurring or being a request to be so being granted;
   b) Delegations, it being understood by whatever sporting club in question, as well as associations legally constituted, legally constituted with the appropriate denomination and with integration into the leonina family already occurring or a request to be so being granted, that the Board (’Conselho Directivo’) considers for delegation of the functions of representation and management of the Club;
   c) Supporters Clubs, whose denomination is to be in reference to the Sportinguista character, that brings together members of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL, of whatever category, in a fixed base, with the aim of maintaining and promoting unity and solidarity of the leonina family;
   d) Organisations, that, of whatever denomination, bring together, in a fixed base, members of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL and aims to maintain and promote the unity and solidarity of the leonina family;
2- The qualities referred to in provisions a) and b) of number 1 may only be attributed after the expressed vote of the General Assembly of the petitioner, with a copy of the minutes from such proceedings and an example of the statutes to be adopted.
3- Supporters Club are constituted as, by the spontaneity of their formation, the normal form of congregation of the members of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL, and are to be legally constituted and to submit themselves for registration with the Club, and are to reveal in registering with the Club the nature of their governing bodies and an indication of the amount of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL members it represents.
4- The attributing of the quality of Affiliate and of Delegation and the recognition of Supporters Clubs is at the discretion of the Board.
5- The leaders of Supporters Clubs are obliged to be staff members (‘sócios efectivos’) of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL with at least one year of subscription at the date of election to office.
6- In the conditions established by the Board as part of the annual budget of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL ought to compensate the Supporters Clubs with a quantity of money that is relative to the revenue generated by the members of such Supporters Clubs and other financial parameters defined by the Board.
7- Within its ability, SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL ought to provide support to the referred to entities.
8- The General Assembly may approve regulations relative to all or some of the entities mentioned in the present article.

Section II - Council of Affiliates, Delegations, Supporters Clubs and organisations

Article 65

With consulting features, their may exists a council of Affiliates, Delegations, Supporters Clubs and Organisations, composed of three delegates from each headquarters (‘sede ‘) and one of each Affiliate, Delegation, Supporters Club and Organisation, all members of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL; with the General Assembly approving the respective regulations.

Section III - The Leonino Congress

Article 66

1 - The Leonino Congress, which is to be realised twice every two years, has the objective of congregating the members and supporters of SPORTING CLUBE DE PORTUGAL in a study of the fundamental problems of the physical education, sports and cultural and recreational activities of the Club and to also affirm the spirit of solidarity between the Portuguese in general and Sportinguistas in particular.
2- The Board will promote the realisation of the Leonino Congress, in national or international territory, as circumstances advise, with the prior hearing of the governing bodies, in plenary.
3- The life and operation of the Leonino Congress is constrained by appropriate regulations and is prepared by the board to then be approved by the general assembly.
