Chapter VIII - Transitional provisions

Article 72

1 - The category of contributing members (‘sócios contribuintes’) is now considered extinct.
2- The Assembly General may, in the reviewal of the system the levying of quotas, convert the corresponding members into staff members (‘sócios efectivos’).

Article 73

1 - The entry into force of the present statutes determines the ceasing of the mandate of all of the current members of governing bodies.
2- The President of the Bureau of the General Assembly (‘Presidente da Mesa da Assembleia Geral’) will convene after the publication of the present statutes in Diary of the Republic and within one hundred and twenty days of its approval, elections for all of the governing bodies, in accordance with the terms of these statutes.
3- Until the proclamation of the elected, the current members of governing bodies maintain the exercise of their functions, with the competencies fixed in these statutes that where until now in force, without prejudice to the application of the new rules of elections in accordance with number 2.

Article 74

1 - On the day of entering into force the present statutes, the associated year is considered started, and will terminate on the thirty first of July nineteen ninety seven.
2- The year of nineteen ninety six is still to be considered an economic year, with the period running from the period between the first of January and the thirty first of July nineteen ninety seven being considered another economic year.
3- The provision of accounts relative to the economic year of nineteen ninety six are to be made until the thirty first of March nineteen ninety seven and the relative budget for the economic period of the first of January to the thirty first of July of nineteen ninety seven is to be presented in the term within three months from the proclamation of the elected in the elections provisioned in article 74, number 2.

Article 75

Until the next elected General Assembly, the ten members of the Leonino Council added in the statutory alteration approved in the General Assembly of December of 1996 are to be jointly appointed by the President of the Bureau of the General Assembly, the President of the Board and the President of the Fiscal and Disciplinary Council (approved in the extraordinary General Assembly of the 5th of December 1996).

Article 76

The update of the numbering of members, with the corresponding substitutions of the cards associated, that, in terms of article 19, number 3, ought to have occurred in the year two thousand was realised in the year nineteen ninety nine, with the year two thousand and five returning to the period provisioned for (Approved in the General Assembly of the 13th of March 1999).

Article 77

1 - In the year 2006, the elections for the General Assembly provisioned for in article 46 number 2 may be held up until the 30th of September.
2 - In the year 2006 the terms provisions for in article 33 number 1 and article 34 number 1 will terminate on the 15th and 30th of November (alteration approved in the GA of the 29th of July 2004).
