The Administration of Sporting Clube de Portugal - Futebol, SAD, has decided to terminate its contract with coach Domingos Paciência, for the reason that elimination from the group stages of the Portuguese Cup and 5th position in the current Liga Zon/Sagres campaign does not correspond with the Administration’s objectives for the first season of its mandate.

Furthermore, we would like to note that we have reached an agreement with coach Domingos Paciência, who we would like to thank for his professional manner and dedication towards Sporting Clube de Portugal. We wish him all the best in his future career.

The Administration of Sporting Clube de Portugal - Futebol, SAD has decided that Ricardo Sá Pinto will assume immediate responsibility for the role of first team coach, with a contract valid until June 2013.
