Pedro Mendes included
Carlos Carvalhal has included Pedro Mendes in his squad list for the hosting Académica, on matchday 18 of Liga Sagres, scheduled for Saturday the 6th of February (7:45pm). Mirroring the debuts of João Pereira and Sinama Pongolle, the midfielder, who recently arrived from Glasgow Rangers, will not have to wait long to make his Sporting bow. Izmailov has not recovered in time to be included, but Vukcevic is set to make his return. Centre-back Daniel Carriço will sit this one out, as he is not available due to suspension.
Also making a return to Carvalhal's team sheet are Ricardo Batista, Pedro Silva and Yannick Djaló.
