Preparation for the derby
Sporting has begun preparation for Tuesday's League Cup semi-final clash with Benfica, as Carlos Carvalhal put the Lions through their first workout of the week at the Sporting/Puma Academy.
The coach had all of his players present, with the exception of Izmailov, who continued to follow a specialised training program, and Miguel Veloso, who was undergoing treatment on a myalgia in his left thigh.
The squad returns to work on Monday afternoon, in a session scheduled to begin at 4:30pm at the Sporting/Puma Academy. The session will not be open to the public. |
