Alvalade athletes finish just 6 minutes off the pace

Sporting's triathlon team, comprised of Helena Carvalho, José Felício, Liliana Alexandre and André Dias, finished an admirable 12th place in the Triathlon Clubs European Championships this weekend, being held in the Spanish city of Banyoles.

Just six minutes spit Sporting from the first placed French outfit Poissy Triathlon, on a podium rounded off by the Italians AS Triathlon Duathlon Rimini and AS Minerva Roma.

Sporting athlete adds to her sprint distance win earlier in the week

Katarina Larsson is in unstoppable form in the European Triathlon Championships in Lisbon, this time adding the olympic distance gold to her sprint win earlier in the week.

The Alvalade athlete finished the three segments in 2 hours, 11 minutes and seven seconds, which was an amazing 39 seconds ahead of the second-placed British competitor, Victoria Baker.
