Idrissa Doumbia, from the Ivory Coast, arrived in Europe in 2016 to play for Anderlecht. On the following year, he was trasnferred on loan to Zulte Waregem and did not go back to Anderlecht, who transferred him to Akhmat Grozny.

He arrived at Sporting Clube de Portugal in January 2019.
