Luciano Vietto, international player for for Argentina's U-20, was born in Balnearía. He started playing football in La Plata, for the Estudiantes, but he finished his training at Racing Club de Avellaneda.

It was for Racing that he made his debut as a professional player and where Villarreal noticed him. He spent one year at "El Madrigal", where he had the best year of his career resulting in a leap formward, signing for Atlético de Madrid. In Madrid he alternated between loans and playing for the Main Squad. 

He arrives at Alvalade after playing for Valencia and Fulham. When arriving in Lisbon, Luciano Vietto promised that he will show the best version of himself .
