Marcus Wendel, born in 1997 in Duque de Caxias, Brazil, started playing soccer later than usual at the age of 17. The Brazilian midfielder made his formation in the club EC Tigres do Brasil, and Fluminence FC, the latter where he began his professional career.

After a big rise in Fluminense and after being coveted by many European clubs, Wendel arrived at Sporting CP in 2018. Having been kept with the main squad, the Brazilian has promised to sweat his jersey and fight for titles.
