Renan Ribeiro, born in 1990 in the city of Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, did all his training at Botafogo and made his professional debut at Atletico Mineiro in a match against Grémio.

The goalkeeper came to Portugal during the 2017/2018 season to represent Estoril Praia. At the end of the season he signed with Sporting Clube de Portugal where he is now the Lions number 1 goalkeeper.

Renan played an essential role in both Cups won during the 2018/2019 season by defending the winning penalties during the penalty shootout.
