Sporting CP sends its condolences to the family of the late President Mário Soares

Sporting Clube de Portugal is saddened by the passing away of the Portuguese statesman, Dr. Mário Soares.

With the passing away of the former President of the Republic and Prime Minister, the country has lost one of the men to whom we owe the victory of Portuguese democracy.

Sporting Clube de Portugal, united with all Portuguese people, will be eternally grateful to Dr. Mário Soares for his contribution to liberty.
