The winger reacts to the Troféu Cinco Violinos win

After the victory against Villarreal CF (1-0) in the 13th edition of the Troféu Cinco Violinos, Geny Catamo gave his thoughts on the match to Sporting TV.

"We had a lot of time to prepare during the preseason, and today we had another test to show how well we are doing. The team are united, with a better connection to the coach's ideas, and now we just want the Super Taça to come around," said the Mozambican international, adding that winning the presentation game "is always special."

"It's important to win, because it's also a good sign for next season and to prove to Sporting CP fans that we're ready," added the winger.

Afterwards, Catamo turned his attention to the fixture against SL Benfica on Thursday.

"We have to be very focused and I believe we will be at one hundred percent, to be able to compete for the trophy."

“I will give my all on the pitch this season, as I have been doing up to now, and I will try to surpass my performance from last season,” he concluded.
