Rodrigo Battaglia secures Alvalade move

Rodrigo Battaglia officially signed in at Alvalade this week, making the move to the capital from Sp. Braga. Despite interest from a wealth of club's the Argentinean didn't hesitate to pick Alvalade.

"I am really happy and thankful for the opportunity to represent Sporting CP. I will do my best for this club", affirmed Battaglia after penning the deal, adding: "I have been in Portugal for four years now and I have always thought Sporting CP was a massive club, but now I can see it is even better than I could ever imagine. I have played in Alvalade three times already and really felt the pressure from the fans. They push the players a lot and I can't wait to play here.

Spanish roller hockey star makes the move to the Portuguese capital

Toni Pérez has become the latest name to join Sporting CP's roller hockey team, after making the move from the Spanish side HC Liceo. 

"I am really proud to have the opportunity to defend the Sporting CP colours. I am really happy. I have been watching the Portuguese league for a long time now and I know it is really strong", said Pérez after penning his deal in Alvalade, adding: "I can promise that I will do my best. I am a player who gives his all for the team and I help our with goals too. I know all of the players here already. It is a great group that will help me adapt, I am sure of that."

Sporting CP has reached an agreement for the central defender André Pinto, with the Portuguese international arriving on a four-year deal from Sp. Braga.

Standing at 1.90m tall, the 27-year old already has quite the name for himself, built up during spells with FC Porto, Vit. Setúbal, Portimonense, Olhanense, Panathinaikos and Sp. Braga.

Alvalade marksman pens new contract and sets sights on Olympic Games

Sporting CP and João Costa agreed a contract extension this week, taking the Alvalade marksman's stay through until Tokyo 20. Costa has already claimed more than 50 national titles and he isn't finished yet.

"I feel great. This is a fantastic moment for me and it is an honour to carry on with the club. Right now I am starting a four-year cycle which will finish in Tokyo 2020, so I want to guarantee my place. I will be in a few international competitions before then and I want to do as well as I possibly can", said Costa.

Italian international agrees terms after unstoppable form in front of goal

The Sporting CP futsal player Diego Cavinato agreed a new contract this week, in a meeting led by president Bruno de Carvalho and board member Rui Caeiro.

Speaking about the deal, the Italian proved overjoyed: "I feel great. This is a show of confidence in me. Our objectives are the same as they always are at one of the best clubs in the world. All we think about is winning titles. Goals come from hard work and hopefully I can keep it up. This month we have the League Cup and then the UEFA Futsal Cup in April and we are all focused."
