Win against FSBU/IFAS leaves Sporting CP just a draw away from silverware

In one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Super European Goalball League, Sporting CP took on FSBU/IFAS, in a match up between first and second place respectively.

Sporting CP dominated from the off and at the break were already leading 11-2. With the win secured, Sporting CP took the foot off the gas and eventually breezed to a 12-2 win, courtesy of goals from Justas Pazarauskas (6 goals); Mindaugas Suchovejus (3); Hadiley Sacramento (2) and João Mota (1).

Speaking at the end of the match, João Mota, proved ecstatic: "It was a really important game and we were solid. This is our way of thanking everyone for what has been done for us. Last year I played in Spain and won the league, but this club is something else."
