Alvalade canoe star claims 16th place in Rio

Francisca Laia looked to be off to a brilliant start in the K1 200m B Final in Rio this week, but the Alvalade canoe star was unable to keep up the blistering pace and eventually had to settle for an 8th place finish and 16th overall, with a time of 42.69 seconds.
