Portuguese pair win semi-final and will now battle for a medal

Better would have been impossible. Emanuel Silva and João Ribeiro comfortably secured a place in the K2 1000m event at Rio 2016 this week, with a dominating performance that easily won their their semi-final.

The final will take place at 13h08 on Thursday.
