Alvalade athlete K2 1000m in 4th

The Portuguese canoe heroes Emanuel Silva and João Ribeiro finished the K2 1000m event at Rio 2016 in an admirable 4th place this week.

The pair were in second place at the 750m post, before the Serbians Tomicevic and Zoric pushed on.

The title went to the German pair of Max Rendschmidt and Marcus Gross with a time of 3:10.781, beating the Serbians 3:10.969 and the Australian double of Wallace and Tame (3.12:593).
